Unfinished No More

September 24, 2007

I must have started this quilt after the arrival of the big boy over three years ago (hence the blue hue instead of an ambiguous green or yellow). I got as far as attaching the binding to the front and then it sat unfinished until now. The big boy already has his own twin size quilt on his big boy bed. I brought this one to the lake and finished hand-stitching the binding to the back and now it is in the small boy’s crib. He seems to be able to sleep just fine despite the crazy bright colors. I just loved the yellow, orange and purple hippos that are in the centers and border and got fun prints to match. I did notice that my sewing has improved a lot since I started this. Hope the little boy doesn’t notice.
