Ziploc bags are a quilters best friend
November 20, 2007
I’ve been doing all the cutting for the new quilt so I’ll be ready and raring to sew at class. Thank goodness for resealable bags. Sorting out 120 pieces of strip A, B and E as well as 56 strips of C and D would be a nightmare without them.

Hi Cathy,
I took my first quilting course about six years ago and have worked sporadically since then. I like taking courses because I can always learn more (and I have a fantastic teacher) but also so I can set aside the time to sew. I love quilting and playing with fabric. It’s so addicting and fun. I think you’d like it seeing your work!

Ziplock bags are also great for scraps! I sort them by colour, though I could sort by shape. Reds in one bag, blues in another, etc. And I use large zip bags for fat quarters or larger pieces that won’t fit in to the sandwich size bags. You can see at a glance what you’ve got.
