A Color Geek’s Dream Job
February 2, 2008
I want to be the one who makes up names for colors …. paints, fabric colors, crayons, whatever.
Toasted Pecan, Canyon Cloud, Scotland Road, Smoked Oyster, Chocolate Sparkle (mmm, lots of food names).
These are all paint colors from Behr. We’re buying my in-laws house and they’re renovating one so we’re all in the market for new paint. Behr has the neatest thing on their website, Color Smart. You can upload your own pictures of your rooms and see how all the colors will look in them. How cool is that? It’s hard to imagine a room from a paint chip. I can’t wait to take some pictures and play around. Here’s a sample before and after from their site.

That looks like so much fun! I have nothing to paint right now, but I’m still going to have to try it out.
