Lowell Quilt Festival Scores

August 11, 2008

Once again the Lowell Quilt Festival does not disappoint. It was an amazing collection of talent, technique and creativity. Traditional, non-traditional, large and small. I learned from last year to give myself plenty of time. What I did not remember was to bring a camera. Grrr.

What I can show you is the fabric I bought to start the Blooming Nine-Patch quilt. I got six of the eight fabrics. I don’t think I even came close to any of the palettes I was toying with. I started with two Kaffe Fassett fabrics and went from there. I like how the Australian print on the right fits right in. A good haul, I think.

The show was great… Lord knows how I walked out of there with no fabric this year. I did take some pictures – wonderful quilts!
