A Quilter’s Second Best Friend

Triangles on a Roll.

They are a beautiful thing. I have to make 120 half-square triangles for the new quilt. Going freehand with something like this is just way too much work. The roll comes two across and you can pin them to the length of your fabric. Sew continuously on the dotted lines (short stitches so the paper will perforate for easy removal) and rotary cut on the solid lines.

So simple and so fast. Yipee!

That is such a good tip! I have an old quilt I’d love to finish…someday!

I have seen the triangle paper and wondered if it was worth it. I see it is! I love your choice of fabric. I have the same fat quarter set. I started out thinking that I would make a quilt with it, but I have been using pieces here and there for little projects. It’s such a nice collection. I can’t wait to see your finished quilt!

I tried something like this a while ago. I think they were called thangles? Anyway, it sure makes sewing all these little triangles a lot easier. Good luck on this project. I’ll have to check back to see the finished look.

I haven’t tried the Thangles, so I don’t know how they compare but these are such a snap. I love them.
