Donkeys in Wellies, oh my!

I jumped when the sound of the buzzer from the dryer went off. I was talking to Becca when she remarked that she stalks the dryer when a new quilt is about to come out with all it’s lovely crinkles. Me too. This is for my nephew born last month. It uses Laurie Wisbrun’s Donkeys and Wellies. How great are they? I mean really. I am beside myself with how adorable they are.

I chose a nice fuzzy flannel for the backing and did my usual free-motion quilting. I will really be sad when I piece a quilt that really shouldn’t be stippled because I love doing it so much.

Be sure to check out Laurie’s blog to see her new line of fabric with Robert Kaufman, Tufted Tweets. Becca and I have placed our order so Sew Fresh Fabrics will be one of the first to have it in stock this spring. I can’t wait to see it and I’m thinking of quilts to make already.
